How the Repair Process Works
1. Submit a Repair Request
To get started, please complete the Repair Booking Form available at the bottom of this page or contact our support team via support@oukitel.co.za for assistance.
2. Device Collection & Courier Arrangements
Where applicable, we may arrange collection through approved courier partners, including The Courier Guy (TCG) or PUDO.
Customers are responsible for securely packaging devices before collection or shipping.
To help prevent damage during transit:
-
back up all personal data and files;
-
remove passwords, PINs, lock patterns, linked accounts (e.g. Google), activation locks;
-
remove SIM cards and memory cards where possible; and
-
package the product in the original packaging, with original accessories (if possible);
-
wrap the device securely using protective packaging such as bubble wrap;
-
place the device inside a rigid external box where possible.
Please note that Oukitel South Africa cannot be held responsible for transit-related damage caused by inadequate packaging.
3. Technical Assessment & Diagnostics
Once the device is received, our technicians will perform an initial assessment and diagnostic evaluation, typically within 24–72 hours, depending on repair volume and device condition.
Customers may receive updates during the assessment process where reasonably possible.
4. Warranty & Out-of-Warranty Repairs
In-Warranty Repairs
Where a fault is confirmed to fall within the applicable warranty terms, repairs will be performed subject to spare parts availability and technical assessment.
If required parts are temporarily unavailable, additional time may be needed to source components before repairs can begin.
Out-of-Warranty Repairs
If the issue falls outside warranty coverage, we will provide:
-
a technical assessment report;
-
a quotation for spare parts, labour, and applicable courier costs; and
-
estimated repair turnaround times where possible.
Out-of-warranty repairs will only proceed once the quotation has been approved and payment has been received.
5. Repair Turnaround Time
Once approved, most repairs are completed within 24–72 hours, excluding courier transit times and delays outside of our reasonable control.
Repair timelines may vary depending on:
-
spare parts availability;
-
the complexity of the repair;
-
technician workload;
-
additional testing requirements; or
-
delays from suppliers or courier providers.
Where reasonably possible, customers will be informed of material delays affecting the repair process.
6. Device Data and Security
Before submitting your device for repair, please:
-
back up all personal data and files;
-
remove passwords, PINs, lock patterns, and linked accounts (Google and others);
-
disable activation locks where possible; and
-
remove SIM cards and memory cards.
Diagnostics, repairs, software updates, or factory resets may result in data loss.
Oukitel South Africa is not responsible for any loss of data, applications, accounts, software, settings, or personal content during the repair process.
Devices that cannot be properly tested due to active security locks or restricted access may experience delays or repair limitations.
